CONDUCT
This is an issue that I'd like to not have to worry about and hope to keep a fairly open rulebook with the help of everyone in the game. However, I would like to clarify what I expect of managers while participating in Football Online. The last thing I would want for this game is for it to be ruined so I am hoping that with everyone using some common sense and a bit of co-operation, I can avoid ever having to worry about having problems in FO.
In the event of me investigating a matter, those involved will have a chance to explain their actions (unless its something very serious, or there is an unauthorised listing of another league, then I will act immediately). Any punishment that is given out by me will be given a full explanation as to why I have made the decision and how the transgressor is punished.
* This is a game with adults in it so I expect that there may be choice words used from time to time. What I will be considering is the context of using such words. Mostly I will allow these kind of things to pass unpunished but if its something serious enough, minor action could be taken with the transgression fully explained to the person who did it. The only board that I won't allow swearing in is the Article section
* I am not always online to monitor the forum (largely due to my requirements of sleeping!) so if there are any unsavoury posts or comments, I would ask that you send me a private message with a link or other some of incontrovertible proof of what's taken place and I will take the matter from there
* If there is a particularly serious incident (threats of harm or racial abuse being two of the most serious I can think of) the transgressor will be sacked from their club and banned from the forums permanently
* Let's not do anything that will contravene Proboards' Terms of Service (http://proboards.com/tos.html). I'm particularly referring to references to illegal drugs, sexual/adult content, hate messages/campaigns, spam, racism, pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing (MLM) or other types of illegal activities in the real world. If any of those things are brought up at any time, I will have no choice but to severely punish those involved
* Finally, if you want to make a listing of another league, you must contact me privately for permission before you post it up. In pretty much any circumstance like that, I will grant the request, as managers often play in many leagues at once and are under no circumstances a "property" of Football Online. But if you don't ask me first, the listing will be immediately deleted. Any similar hint to advertising another league without my prior consent will result in the post being modified or deleted
I would also like to point out that just like the game itself, I'm open to suggestions on improving the forum in any way so feel free to add ideas if you think it will improve the gaming experience here. I may run FO but this is not a fascist regime by any means!
